The Role of Art in the Environmental Crisis Symposium

Fine Art Shippers is committed to sustainable art shipping. We try to reduce the environmental impact of our business operations as much as possible by supporting different eco-friendly actions related to the transportation, packing, and crating of art and antiques. Besides, we support different environmental education programs, such as the Ecopazifico program on the Colombian Pacific Coast, as well as various events in one way or another related to the environmental crisis. One of these events will be held in New York on June 11.

“The Role of Art in the Environmental Crisis” is a symposium organized by Christie’s Education and Dr. Julie Reiss to discuss the specific ways contemporary artists are responding to the environmental crisis and global climate change. It will address such questions as the processes and materials being utilized by artists, the role of art in the decision making about climate change, and others. The keynote speaker at the symposium will be the American artist and designer Mary Miss. Very recommended!
