Founded in 2016, 1969 Gallery is a well-known
and highly respected fine art gallery located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan
in New York. The gallery collaborates with both established artists and new
talents who are not widely known to the public yet. Completely focused on all
types of visual art, 1969 Gallery organizes absolutely amazing art
exhibitions in New York, as well as actively participates in various international
art events.
Rebecca Ness’ works presented at “Twice over”
exhibition examines figures in the state of dress and undress. Her artworks are
colorful and bright, but what makes them truly unique is a non-verbal
communication through external presentations and emotions. Besides, her
compositions are filled with unexpected textures and patterns, making them
especially eye-catching. Every artwork presented at “Twice Over” exhibition is collage-based,
created from the artist’s paintings, photographs, and drawings and then transferred
to the canvas.
Born in 1992 in Salem, Massachusetts, Rebecca
Ness now lives and works in New Haven, Connecticut. The artist is inspired by a
whole range of different things that influence her differently, from the works
by Kerry James Marshall and Norman Rockwell to visual games like “I Spy.” Artworks
by Rebecca Ness have been included in the group shows held at Richard Heller
Gallery (Los Angeles, CA), Danese/Corey (New York, NY), and Monya Rowe (New
York, NY), among others.
