Nativity from the collection of the Palazzo Leoni Montanari in Vicenza, Italy.
This beautiful piece was created by the anonymous icon painter circa 1475 and
came from the Church of St. Nicholas in the village of Gostinopolye, Russia.
The icon depicts the scene of the Nativity of Christ, reminding people to
praise His birth and celebrate His time on earth. It is filled with joy, proclaiming
the salvation that comes through Christ.
