Antonio Pio Saracino’s “The Guardians: Superhero”
Antonio Pio Saracino’s “The
Guardians: Superhero” installed in Midtown Manhattan at 1095 Avenue of the
Americas. It is one of two sculptures created by the prominent Italian
architect and designer as a gift from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This one is made of mirror-polished stainless steel, and the second Guardian sculpture
is crafted in marble. Each of them depicts a civic hero, combining a striking
innovative image with an amazing digitally-generated architectural composition.
